Navigating by Markers, Restrictions and Segments
You can use the mouse or keyboard to navigate by marker and restrictions through a clip or sequence or by segment borders through a clip. The navigation options described below are available both in List and Card view.
Note the following when navigating markers or restriction in the Storyboard tab:
A marker or restriction selected in the timeline is also selected in the Storyboard tab. When you select a marker or restriction in the Storyboard tab, the same marker or restriction is selected in the timeline and the Media Viewer displays the corresponding frame of the marker or start of the restriction.
When you reach the top of the list, you cannot navigate to a previous marker or restriction.
When you reach the bottom of the list, you cannot navigate to the next marker or restriction.
If you have selected several markers or restrictions in the Storyboard tab and start navigating, the last selected marker or restriction is the starting point for the up or down navigation.
If you navigate to a marker or restriction that is outside the list currently displayed in the Storyboard tab, the list will scroll to show the newly selected marker or restriction at the top or bottom of the list.
Note the following when navigating segments in the Storyboard tab.
When you select a segment in the Storyboard tab, the position indicator is set to the segment’s start in the Media Viewer Timeline and the Media Viewer displays the segment’s start frame.
A segment selected in the Media Viewer Timeline is also selected in the Storyboard tab. Note that this synchronization is not valid for strata that allow “overlapping segments.”
